To begin with, relax. One of the biggest causes of jaw pain is stress. Something that you can do right now is of course, try and avoid high stress areas as much as possible. In failing that, whenever you are in a stressful environment try and take a few minutes out and just close your eyes and breathe. Relaxing your entire body in this way will bring about a sort of chain reaction of relaxation. Eventually reaching your neck and jaw which will relieve tension and pain.

Another thing that always helps your health overall is eating right. Try to reduce caffeine intake and reduce the amount that you smoke. Your muscles and ligaments need blood flow and oxygen to work at the best rate, eating well will help you out the most in this regard. You’ve probably heard it a bunch of times, but keeping fit does wonder not only for your waist line but the health of your entire body, including your sore jaw.
