I like a number of things about my Polar F11, but probably my most favorite feature is the quick five-minute fitness test, which allows you to establish your base line fitness. Let’s face it; most of us think we’re in better shape when we first embark on a new fitness program that we actually are.
The Polar F11 heart rate monitor watch allows you to design your own heart rate based fitness program from inputting the information derived from this short test five minute test into its popular Keeps U Fit program.
By using the test information, you’re much more likely to develop a workout routine that will be right on for your present physical condition. You can be hence be assured right from your first workout that you are exercising in a heart rate zone that is uniquely perfect for you, not too hard or too easy.
Another important thing for me was the chest strap. While you do still have to wet the silver parts of the band before attaching the heart monitor, it is extremely soft and comfortable to wear throughout your workout no matter what type of exercising your doing. Once I get it on, I really don’t even notice that it is around my chest
Other chest straps I’ve worn have been very uncomfortable to the point of dreading to put them on, which sort of cut down on the motivation for exercising for me. The F11 Polar is more like wearing a sports bra rather than a piece of equipment, and when you think of it that way, you’re more likely to stick to your fitness goals.
Some people don’t think the Polar F11 heart rate monitors are all that stylish, but, to me, they are great looking. I’m thinking for all the features they have, they probably need to be a little larger than a regular everyday watch. However, they can be worn as a watch if you choose to do so.
The Polar F11 blue glow heart rate monitor is the one I selected, but friends of mine opted for the Polar F11 heart rate monitor grey pepper, and the Polar F11 pink fizz. All three of us are happy with the both the features of the Polar F11 HRM and the looks of the personal training aide.
