One important truth that should be considered is that weight loss success actually first starts in the mind.

Yes, it is absolutely positively true.  The function of the mind when used correctly is to get one to the goal that they have set. Knowing this allows us to feed our mind the tools necessary to cause it to get to that goal.  One way is through visualization.  You may be thinking, are you serious?  All I want to do is lose weight and you are talking about my “mind”.  In the “changed” words of Tina Turner, “what’s love the mind have to do with it?” The answer is “everything!” Still not convinced?

Think about this:

Successful people (even you in some areas) have all acknowledged that in order for a great task to be accomplished, the end result must be “seen” in some way.  This “seeing” of the end result, causes the person to continue through the inevitable obstacles because they see(and believe) the end result of their efforts.  Visualization brings that end result to a person.  In this case, we are addressing weight loss.  Knowledge of this weight loss tip will help when it seems as if everything is going wrong. Visualization, and the belief of that “vision”, will cause a person to continue, even when it seems like there is no reason to.
Here is an example:

In losing weight visualization, one may visualize themselves, a slimmer, healthier person.  They may visualize their new “slimmer” self walking along the beach, sitting with their significant other, or even receiving complements on their figure.Visualization induces the subconscious mind to shape your body to look as close to the mental image as possible.
This is because of the well researched facts that thoughts AND emotions affect a person based on their predominant thoughts. Most people when committed to lose weight still carry with them the “thoughts” of the larger person, and this is one of the reasons why weight is not lost.  But, be clear about this next fact. Visualization ONLY will not work, proper diet and exercise are the ultimate key to weight loss for any individual.
Visualization is just another tool of weight loss advice and to get you to your ultimate goal, getting to a better you.
